Following a request from Frontier Developments, this service has now been removed. I am not willing to send anyone a copy of the game, and all requests for me to do so will be ignored.
I would like to state that at no point was I threatened with legal action (in the light of the controversy over Ian Bell's site it seems reasonable to say this) and relations between myself and FD are entirely amicable. I only had the game available for download because it was virtually impossible to get it through legitimate channels. Now that it is possible to get the game legally, there's no reason for me to continue to host it.
You now can get FFE direct from The Elite Club. You will need to pay a £5 registration fee if you decide that you want to continue using the game after the 30 day evaluation period. According to David Braben, the game is pre-patched to version 1.06.
